I want something like a Snapon frlf80, i.e. a flex, pear head, QR, 3/8 ratchet, USA made. Must be all of those things.

I have no issue with the snappy, but is there any other option I should consider, that I missed? None of the other usa makers seem to check all of the boxes, just plenty of imports. Thanks!

Funny you mention tekton, they do, and I have what amounts to it (actually a kobalt rebrand of it, exact same tool), and it's what I want this to replace!! It's an older one but it doesn't work for me...not a fan of floppy head, or the backwards selector lever, and would greatly prefer us-made.

I was on this same quest a few years ago; once you add QR, I think you pretty much limit yourself to Snap on. Unless you wanna go Euro or Japan - you still get quality, but you "uncheck" one of the boxes.

Glad to see I'm not alone in with QR fetish.

Pretty much all my ratchets are SO because of this. Been lusting for a Nepros ratchet for a while. Stahlwille makes a nice looking ratchet as well.

I've been looking at 1/2 drive with the same kind of requirements

I really do like Snap-On ratchets and own a few

But The German Stahwille is very tempting at half the price!!!

If the quality is as good as their wrenches I think It might be a good buy (if you dont mind a satin finish, probably no warranty in USA either)
