I've got a couple 18" hallway closet doors that I would like to use concealed hinges on. Any concealed hinges I've used in the past have been very low quality and end up sagging/being a nightmare. Any better suggestions? Also looking for a quality magnetic catch for the same doors.

Thanks!

Great! I just bought nearly $300 of SOSS hinges...thanks!

Now.... Can anyone think of a clever way to limit the open to 90 degrees? The door smashes another door jamb when over 95degrees. Ideas?

When most people think door hinges they think 2-3 but if the hinges that fit your "look" and range of desired motion are rated at say 10#'s then 5-6 will cover your 40# door with a little safety margin added as a closet door is a little more harsh environment than a cabinet door. A piano hinge is just a lot of light duty hinges hooked together to make one tougher hinge as way to compare lines of thought here. Just some food for thought. Harry

When installing Soss hinges, the bore for some sizes can be quite close to the edge of the door. I always clamped two pieces of wood to the door around the bore area. Keeps from splitting out the thin edge. I left the clamped wood in place during the bore process and also while installing the hinge. I've installed them from the smaller size (cabinet doors) up to 8/4 exterior doors. If there is any sag issue, install a third hinge about 2/3-3/4 up the side of the door, nearer the top hinge.
