Quality Face Shield Recommendations

I've gone through a couple of full face shields lately. On both of them, the plastic head strap has broken. I don't remember where I bought these, but it was probably HF or Northern Tool, so I guess I got what I paid for.

Is there a type/brand out there that is a bit heavier duty with a head strap made from something more durable and comfortable, maybe canvas or some sort of fabric?

I am looking for one too so this is a timely post. Simple grinder and power too protection. I do wear glasses so a full face shield would be appropriate.

I do have a big head so a bigger size would be great. Most ball caps are too small to wear as a reference.

The Uvex/Sperian Bionic is the best I've ever used, and comfortable too. I even wear it when weedeating the yard. And my head makes a watermelon look small, there's no problem with fit.

I have one too. It fits well and the headgear is better quality than alot of welding helmets i have used.

Absolutely go for a shield with a molded panel rather than one made from sheet polycarbonate. The extra dimension of curvature makes it much stronger.

I've had no issues with the head ******** mine, though the foam wrap that goes against your forehead is a little cheezy. I'm fine with it on something this light, but on my auto-darkening welding helmets I put a fleece wrapper over that part that I bought at my local welding shop for a couple of bucks. Makes it much more comfortable.

Have you ever tried the Uvex? If not try one then make up your mind. I've got the cheapo like you posted but there's a Uvex at work and it's great. One day I'll order one for the house too.
