irwin makes a lot of them on the market. just make sure you get a lifetime warranty on the taps and dies and the tools as well. you will break one now and then

If you ever see a m12x1.0 tap or die for cheap, you should get it. They are hard to find. Honda use that extra fine thread in their vehicle.

depends on home use or repair shop use.
I sell a lot of the tdtdm500a sets I do sell lot of the rtd48 sets as well
basic rethreading set

As stated above the new Craftsman sets are china made so I would stick with the Irwin Hanson sets unless you can find a nos set at Sears that is a US made set that were Vermont American.
