Quality quick-connects for air tools

Got an air compressor and finish nail gun this winter. Finally tried it out a few weeks ago and quickly noticed that the Kobalt male/female adapters and quick-connects I got from Lowe's were leaking air. So much so that the compressor was kicking on after about only 1 minute to refill. I added thread tape to both ends and got a better seal, but I can still hear a bit of air leaking and the compressor is having to refill quicker than I assume it should.

My question is, what brand of adapters and quick-connects do you guys recommend in order to reduce/eliminate air leakage?

Hey, has anyone mentioned Milton yet?

Around here, the only place I've seen them on the shelf is Rural King.

Napa used to sell good stuff, but now they're hawking the exact same Chinese ultracrap as everyone else.

Even good quality fittings will leak air if you don't seal the threads. I suspect you're probably not tightening the couplers all the way or don't have enough wraps of Teflon tape on them... I have connectors from Home-Depot about 10-years ago (because no one around here sells the good stuff!) and never had one leak at the threads... or for that fact fail in any way.

Every single one of mine are Milton high flow. At work we use Parker but I like Miltons better. I always order mine from Norther Tool.
