I got a $75 giftcard for Sears for Christmas. Sears is pretty far (40 minutes or so one-way) out of the way on my daily routine, so I guess I'll be spending it on the web, or making a pick it out and pick it up run via the internet.

I can't think of anything I just NEED besides a compressor (I have a$400 one picked out) and/or maybe a welder (same price point).

If you had $75 to spend, what would you blow it on/ toward?

Posted because I have been looking at this tihng for a couple of weeks now and don't really know what to do with it. :lol_hitti

If you have $400 to spend on a compressor, you're much better off at tractor supply than sears assuming you've got one somewhat locally.

$400 at sears gets you about a 30 gallon oilless that's loud and puts out 5 CFM.

$400 at Tractor supply gets you a 60-gallon Campbell-Hausfled 220V upright that puts out about 10.5 CFM.

I'd hang onto it. When there's something you NEED it for, you'll know immediately.

Shallow 3/8 impacts in SAE and MEtric will run you about 70$ before tax. You could also put it towards a cordless tool. Afterall, sears sells many brands and the prices are surprisingly competitive

You can't use a gift card for online purchases.

Yes you can. I used one last week. Ordered those SK palm control rachets on clearence.

Huh...That must be new because I had tried to buy wrenches with a card last year.

Just checked...looks like you need the new style of gift card with a PIN, otherwise you have to go to the store for purchasing things.

I have the upright version of that and I'll concur.

I received a $100 gift card and just wandered around the tool department for an hour. I ended up with these hose clamp pliers (very cool), an O2 sensor socket, a pair of mechanics gloves and a couple of other small items. Just go shopping. You'll find something.:bounce:
Oh yeah... I have those and they are an absolute necessity for working on newer cars. Good call:thumbup:

I bet that is true. I wonder if you went into the store, if they'd transfer the amount to a new card.
