Hi Guys,

I've just had a new Quartz Countertop installed in my bathroom.

I'd like to reinstall two side by side drawers that spanned the space between the two base cabinets (which were not changed out - original to the house from 1955). There is a drawer support made up of 2 pieces of plywood screwed together with runners on the bottom for the inboard edges of the drawers to slide on. It was screwed to the center underside of the old countertop (the old countertop was laminate with a plywood base). There are also runners attached to both of the base cabinets for the outboard edges of the drawers to slide on.

My question is, what is the best method of attaching the wood drawer support to the underside of the Quartz countertop? The countertop installer said to use adhesive, but what adhesive should I use?

Thanks

Mark

The undersides are usually a bit rough, which is good. The absolute best adhesive you can use is 3M 5200 marine adhesive. It take 5 - 7 days for a "full" cure, but if the surfaces are clean and have some tooth, it is permanent.

For faster results, use JB Weld. Still takes at least overnight for a full cure.

Clamping required for both.
