Thought you gents might enjoy some pics of some old iron. This is a Queen City pedestal grinder out in our track repair shop. I'm sure some of you know far more about it than I do, but I always enjoy looking at the cast name plate and the the solidness of it. Enjoy.

 Awesome. What size are the wheels on that? I think I have the baby brother to that one (1hp). Hated to see it go to scrap. Where are you located?

I want to say that the wheels are 12", though I can't remember exactly. It was changed about 2 years ago and has been worn down pretty significantly since. Just to clarify, it isn't mine, but belongs to the shop I work for. I'm in N. Louisiana.

Nice old machine.
Here`s my restored 5 hp
I know this is a really old post but I see that you’re still active here. I recently got a Queen City 5Hp grinder like yours and I’m trying to track down a period correct AB switch for it. Do you know the model number of your switch by any chance?

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I found this box and it appears to be the wider size that will fit my faceplate. I’m not sure if it will work or not for a 5hp motor.
