Backstory: Just bought my first house and most of the basement was remodeled fairly recently. I wanted to add a sediment filter but most of the water lines here are this grey pipe which I believe is Quest. The water heater is newer and is plumbed with PVC and some type of push-to-connect going to the Quest pipe.
Current Issue: So I chopped out some of the Quest pipe but had to T into the existing system. Is this the fitting I should be using? I'm getting a very slow leak out of the PVC side (like 1 drop per 10 minutes). I don't want to tighten it too much further and risk cracking something. Or should I use one of the push-to-connects like the water heater?
