What is the best way to install a Low-Rise Lift (Rotary) in a garage which will have a Tile floor? The Tiles to be laid are 60x60cm Porcelin but I am concerned about the weight of the Lift cracking them. Is it best to install the Lift first and then tile around it or is the dispursement of its weight not enough to cause a problem?

Yes, most absolutely you will want to install the lift first then tile around it. You do not want the lift supported by the tile!

If the lift has swinging arms (symmetrical/asymmetrical), the tile thickness may mess that up. I am going to tile around my lift, leaving a "blank" space where the vehicle will sit, so as not to interfere with the arms. I will paint that space with a contrasting (yellow) epoxy.

I was giving a thought to the idea of supporting the lift supported by the tile...what size of the lift do you recommend? and if you have any picture?? plz post :)
