I have an old B & D 1551 magnetic drill press with a 3/4" Jacobs chuck. I would like to use annular cutters to drill steel, but most are setup with two flats for a Weldon style chuck. Is there an adpter I could use, or Weldon chuck that would fit this old drill?

thanks,

Looks like something I used in a shop I worked in years ago. The one I used did not have the Jacobs. The bits used were tapered. I think the old man that had the shop made the switch by out the chuck. He had me drill so many holes in I-beams you'd expect me to remember. Good luck.

Milwaukee has an adapter for annular cutters to a 3-jaw chuck

Look on McMaster for Arbor adapter
