Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I haven't found an answer in my web/video searches. When applying a clear urethane topcoat to an epoxy/flake floor do you wear spike shoes? If you do wear spikes does it make visible marks? If you don't wear them, how do you touch-up an area that is not reachable with the roller?

Thanks!

PS: Planning to apply epoxy/flake this afternoon and urethane topcoat tomorrow morning.

I used to work with a guy who'd paint a StoneHard floor wearing golf shoes. The next day it looked like there were little ant holes everywhere.

(He was also a Real Man who didn't need a respirator. After 5-6 hours, he started making really bad decisions.)

I used the spiked shoes that I made myself from an old pair of shoes, cutting out some shoe shaped pieces of plywood and screwing them together and making sure that all the screws came through the same length. A little work but I didn't mind and I am fairly good at things like that. I used them on the epoxy coat but not the primer and the urethane. I used a roller extension handle that took care of all the hard to reach parts but my floor was just a small one anyway. I planned my rolling technique so as to not miss any places. I've done a lot of painting in my time so that was not so hard for me. I had no holes from the screws what so ever. Just try to practice lifting your feet straight up and down when walking with them on so that they don't slip. If they slip they might leave a scratch looking mark that might not fill in with the epoxy. I've see that from other folks pictures that they posted.
