Question about attatched garage insulation

Hello everyone. First time posting.

I been doing a bit of research and I haven't quite found the reasonable end all fix all for my attatched two car garage. I live in las vegas. So its hot as balls in the summer and reasonably cold in the winter. I'm pretty sure half of the garage is insulated as the inboard walls have rooms on the other side of them. But I'm not so sure about the outboard walls.

I have a small 14k btu ac unit for the summer and a space heater for the winter. But they don't quite do justice unless you're in the immediate area of the machines.

So now my question is. Is there a reasonably good way to insulate the garage and make good use? Im in here all the time as it doubles as my workshop and storage for my project car.

Tearing down the dry wall is probably out of the question and I've heard the spray foam can get pretty pricy... [emoji53]

I can't tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like your garage door is the standard contractor cheap door. Spend some money on a good insulated door. It will make a big difference , summer and winter. I think there are self adhesive panel you could get also.
As for the walls. Maybe blow in some insulation. You would just have a bunch of holes to patch.

I insulated my garage door last year, best thing I've done to the garage. I believe the manufacturer was corning? (pink panther).Home Depot carries the kit, 1 box covers a 1 car, 2 boxes will cover a 2 car door. They're pre cut panel's that get placed onto plastic holders, I think each kit ran about $75.00 but well worth it. Simple, quick & easy.

Blown in fiberglass or cellulose may be your cheapest solution. Buy foam board to do the doors. Check out Youtube for videos on blowing in insulation into walls and ceilings.

Insulate the overhead door for sure. Seal all air leaks around the edges also.

I think you could drill some holes along the top edge of the stud cavities, and stick a hose down and blow insulation in easily. You could patch and finish the holes, or just patch and cover with a 6" or so trim board.

I live in AZ and can cool my attached garage (about 800 sq ft 3 car tandem)
garage door insulated as other have said.
blown in cellulose as others have said. make sure to do the unattached walls as they are most likely not insulated.
also if your house is 2 story right above your garage can probably be insulated as well.
doing all this and using an 18k btu ac unit cools the garage and can easily keep it at 78 when its 115 out.
insulation is key
