So i know manufacturers make it tricky with all different cfm ratings at different psi. I have a Rolair k25 pump and the specs list as CFM displaced 18.2, 100psi/16.2, 175psi/14.26cfm

My question is what's the cfm displaced mean? I understand the cfm ratings at different psi. The pump runs quite well with a 5hp 56y frame century electric motor on 230v it fills the 60 gallon tank in 5 mins flat. I'm possible selling it tmrw to a guy and looking for a higher cfm compressor on Craigslist to come to buy. Bought this compressor for 275 bucks put 70 into a new aftercooler and paint and put it for sale for $700

Cubic Feet per Minute; I believe what you're asking is what that means?

Imagine a 1'x1'x1' box. Your compressor could fill up 16.2 of those boxes at 100 psi in one minute.

Hope that's what you're asking.

CFM displaced is the displacement of the cylinder times the RPM. In other words, how much air the machine would deliver if it was 100% efficient.

It's a pointless metric.
