Question about chains,
What is the difference between a Oregon 91PX056G and a Oregon S56 and a Oregon 91VG056G?
They are all 3, 3/8" pitch, 56 drive links, and .050 gauge.

According to the sears website, my saw calls for the Oregon 91PX056G , but are the other 2 pretty well the same?

So a chain "without the anti-kickback ****" will cut faster?

In a nutshell, yes. It also ***** if trying to plunge cut or using the end of the bar to trim limbs. I prefer running full chisel non safety chain. However, non-safety chain or anti-kickback chain will still kick back, so caution must be there at all times using any chain & chainsaw. You must also make sure the gauge, pitch and drive link count all match your current chain.

What is "to plunge cut" Is that using the end of the bar to cut straight in at a log? Don't think I'd be doing that.
91PX056G is shown for mine, (at the Sears site) but there are a few 91VX056G's on e bay,the
gauge, pitch and drive link count all match the 91PX056G.
(3/8' pitch, .050 gauge, 56 drive links.)
I may try one of the 91VX series.
