I've got everything except the motorcycle, trailer, and cars piled up in my living room, with lots of towels and blankets to protect the floors. The motorcycle and trailer are at a neighbor's house. The cars are parked outside. My backup plan was to rent a storage space for a month.

I like the idea of a Pod, but I figured they'd be pricey since they have to be delivered and picked up.

Put it in the kitchen ;) then sign the divorce papers...

I put my stuff on the back porch, covered it, and painted the floor last August (less chance of rain in August here in OH). Had to keep myself occupied with something other then tools for the week... Slept with the window open and the dog on guard duty ;)

i rented a pod, yes expensive but keeps the mess in a 8x12x8 box blocking view to what im doing in the garage while working. if piling in the house is an option go for it. i emptied EVERYTHING including the **** on the wall as i painted them first. if i had it to do over i may have painted the walls, rehung n filled the cabinates and then had a smaller pile of **** to deal with and get off the floor. much more labor to keep shuffeling it but wqould have saved me the pod fee (300 or so with pick up/drop off and a months rental) the month is about 140 or so, the pickup n drop off is about 80 each way

Fortunately I had a few spaces to squirrel stuff away. The boat went into a storage pen. The bandsaw and rollway went into a utility room off the rear patio. Bikes, ice chests and other junk went onto the back patio. All the rest of the stuff went into an already crowded 14'x18' shed. I highly recommend a shed (or 2). I even gave some consideration to buying a cheapo cloth carport from walmart. Finally, I yard sale/craigslisted everything I could stand to get rid of and cleared out a lot of junk and made enough money to pay for the demo/disposal.

I have (had) several elderly neighbors, most of them either didn't drive, or only had a single car. They let me store my stuff in their garages for the week it took to prep-coat-dry the floor.

Couldn't have done it without them.

I piled **** in my living room, the snowblower went in the dining room. A bunch of stuff went in the driveway and I covered it with a tarp. Stormed like hell every other day for the week it was out there. In the end it all worked out, but during one bad storm I thought for sure my cabinet was going to go flying into my car.

My plan: build a shed outdoors, then build a loft in the garage (11 foot ceiling). My epoxy project has been on hold for about a year now, and with the way things are going, it will still be for a while... like the other guy said, your floor or a divorce lawyer...

good luck!
