Question about Flex head ratcheting wrenches

I bought a Mac Set recently (8mm - 19mm). Does anyone know of a tool company that makes them in the 5mm - 7mm range? I found the 6mm & 7mm from Matco, like this:

But, I'm still looking for a 5mm & 5.5mm ratcheting flex head. Forgive me if I've overlooked a thread containing this information. I've also checked Snap-On/Bluepoint, Mac, Cornwell, SK, Cman and GW.

I always wanted to chop off some of my gearwrench ones so they were like that. The open end is almost useless on them anyway.

So was the entire set like that? Do you have a part number for the set?

The set that I bought is this, which has 8 - 19:

After I bought it, I realized that Mac doesn't make a 5 - 7, or 20+ in the flex head ratchet wrenches. So, I started looking at other manufacturers to see who did. I don't need the open end for the applications that I need them for. The 6 & 7 I found from Matco, I will probably purchase, but every once in a while I need a 5 and more commonly a 5.5. It's not that big of a deal though, it would just make my work a little more efficient at times.

Here is the "full" Matco set, if you were still wondering:

The other thing about that set, which *****, is that they skip a couple of the sizes.

Are the Matco flex- head wrenches pictured above available from another source? No Matco dealers where I live.

Do the Mac flex-head wrenches stand up to heavy use? The Gear-Wrench ones get really loose after a while. The head flops around.

Mainly use 9/16" on stover lock nuts

Over the last year and a half I've had to warranty multiple Mac Flex head wrenches due to them flopping around.

Sorry I didn't answer your other question. I haven't seen the Matco ones elsewhere. They may be exclusive. You could always buy them directly from their website.

I have this set.in both standard and metric. Used the metric set for a couple years or so now, typically used in filed service for generators. I don't use them every day, but frequently enough, and I love them. No issues so far.
I liked them so much that I bought the standard set recently and I do use those daily.
I do not have flex gear wrenches to compare to, but the ratchet action feels nicer than the standard gearwrench brand I have. I also find the particular length, which is a bit of an intermediate between regular and stubby, very convenient for my needs.
That being said, I find the size range limiting, on my case on the upper end, not the lower, and I'm shopping for a full standard and metric flex gearwrench set as well.

Thanks for the information. I think I will try Gray Tools ratcheting wrenches. They are made in Taiwan and seem to be a step up in quality from GearWrench.

I don't know if Matco ships to Canada. They do have some interesting tools.
