Question about floor after etching?

I just finished etching the floor for the second time and it seems pretty good,feels like 100 grit sand paper but there are brown streaks on the floor yet. I power washed it 4 times after I was done etching with the muriatic acid.
Is there usually a little brown residue after, and am I ok to start sealing?

I did a wash with TSP after acid etching just to be sure I got all the acid off.

Did you neutralize it?

Most, but not all, coatings will require a bone dry surface. BondTite 1101 can go down on a moist, but not wet, substrate. Check product directions and see if that's the case.

If you're applying an opaque coating, there's really no reason to worry about discoloration, that's one of the reason to coat it to begin with. Of course if it's a clear coating, different story.

If you have a 100 grit texture, and the water test shows that water is seeping in, and the floor has been neutralized, you're probably ready to roll.

Ok I just went back and etched the floor for the 3rd time,used some baking soda to nutralize it and power washed the floor,hopefully that should do it,how long do I have to let it dry before I can put on the acryliseal 3501?

Mine did the same thing turned out fine some of that goes away after it dries out. Take a look at my old post and you will see the marks in the pics see if it looks anything like what your floor is doing.

Unless it's raining on the area currently, you can coat now.

AcryliSeal 3501 can be applied to concrete that's damp, but not wet. So no standing water or pooled water. A good rule of thumb is that if the floor is somewhat equal, the same material, same light, etc., then when you start to see a few spots lightening up, the whole floor can be coated even though most of it still has the darker damp look.
