Construction information
We have trusses and the celing is 3/4" thick pine boards, the fixture boxes are pvc w/ metal brackets to go between the trusses. We used blow-in cellulose insulation.
My question is, When they were installed I stapled plastic (6 mil. thick ) over the area where the box goes to keep the dust out and put a piece of fiberglass batt over that.
Is the plastic going to cause a fire hazzard or other problems?
I know dustin wiring is a problem, hence the plastic. We have about 6" of blow-in insulation currently blown in and the rest will be done fri-sat this week.
I need to know if I should remove the plastic and just leave the batting over the fixture boxes.
