Looking at picking up a used KRL 1022. It is about 7 years old. I am driving to take a look at it next weekend and pick it up if all goes well. I have only seen a new KRL box in person. How different is one that is seven years old? Has the design changed much? They had ball bearing slides back then right. What about the plastic slide locks on all the drawers?

The only difference that I am aware of between the older and current KRL1022's is the casters.

They are ball bearing slides.

Mine has two long drawers instead of just one. I believe that is also a difference isnt it? I may be wrong but I thought that was only available on boxes built within the last few years.

This one does have the two long drawers at the top, so if the older ones only had one it must have been before this one was made.

I believe the newer krl's have spring loaded casters as well. I'm not sure if this applies to all krl boxes or just the bigger krl boxes.
