So, I ordered a new riser for my box. I was told they have to MAKE it, as they are not made ahead of time. ( 68" Epiq ) NOW, I'll be taking a different job that won't be in a shop. I asked my dealer about refusing the shipment or if it could be otherwise cancelled. He said no. Nothing he could do. Anyone have any experience with this? Am I really stuck with my riser that hasn't showed up yet? Not that it's the end of the world, but if my job offer came a couple weeks sooner, I wouldn't have ordered it. :dunno:

It might be worthwhile to Give Snap on a call Directly, Im not saying your Dealer is Lying, as im sure you know that Special Order Items generally cant be returned/cancelled. Whether that Riser is Special Order, I have No idea. Did your New Job completely take you out of the Automotive Field? Or Entail you getting rid of the Bottom Box?

Over the Years ive bought quite a few Mechanics sets from Guys who changed crafts etc, Its Generally Not a Money making venture (for them), especially in regards to boxes/Accessories. Hopefully you can get it Canceled, Id be willing to bet your Dealer has had to deal with lots of buyers remorse over the years. Im not saying thats where your at, Changing Jobs is entirely different scenario but making that sort of investment knowing that your looking for other work is a bit reckless IMO.

Good Luck and if doesnt get resolved.. Pics Man...

BTW I logged into my Snap on Account, Clicked on the Epic Workstations and tried to add them to my Cart and none of them show stock items.

I'll keep my box at home regardless. The job I'm taking is still Automotive, but not as a Tech. who knows, I may end up in a shop again. I wasn't really looking for a job. I've always told him "Hey, if you ever have an opening...let me know." I never really thought more of it, & it came as a surprise. I'll still do work on the side, & can enjoy it at home instead of at work. I was just curious if anyone knew about it. Thanks!

Talk to snap on and see what they can do. Otherwise have another conversation with your dealer. Assuming you didn't order this riser in bright pink, surely he could sell it to someone else at a discount. You might take a $500 or more hit, but it beats shelling out for something you have no need for. And ultimately your driver is a businessman. There has to be some middle ground where he can make some money, make you happy and make another customer happy.
