During the building of my detached garage I ran water & drain lines from my house. As I was building I found that I would not have enough room for the sink if I needed to pull in a extra car(which has happened a lot) so I decided not to put one in. The drywall is in & I am putting up the beadboard when it hits me that I could install a removable utility sink using a washing machine outlet box. Here is my question. I did not install a vent stack. Is it possible that I could put a p trap at the main line under my house instead of under the washing machine outlet box to solve the vent line issue or would it be best to install a air admittance valve in the garage. We are talking about 75ft from the sink to the main line under the house.

Thanks

I would do the air admittance valve in the garage as you still need the air behind water for it drain properly.

You can get small utility sinks, I ordered a 12inch deep for a customer a wile back.
Vent, what size drain? If 3inch, a vent "isnt needed" If smaller you can put an auto vent/ air vent on it.

I'm located out in the country where municipal sewers do not exist. I installed a "poor man's" septic tank using two underground plastic 55 gallon drums for my sink drain, it's been decades and still no problems.

Does it have weep holes or do you pump it out? What about some gravel in those drums? I want to do this exact set up so any information would be awesome!
