Question about prep for epoxy

I am finally getting ready to coat my garage floor. Just wondering what the prep solution will do to the asphalt in front of the overhead door.

BTW - This is my first post but I have been enjoying all of the great knowledge/ideas/pictures for a while now. Thanks to everyone.

I used the rustoleum etch and it just left a fairly light white milky residue on parts of the asphalt. It washed away with the next rain shower.

Someone gave me a tip on how to minimize any possible damage from the run off of the etching solution. Pour a line of baking soda accross the driveway just outside the edge of the garage floor threshold. This helps to "neutralize" the run off. Worked pretty well for me.
