Hi I purchased a 1350 gallons / hr. utility pump at my local hardware store.
I put the pump in a bucket and attach a hose, then attach a spray handle to the end of the hose (which restricts the pumps water output flow). By doing that I can create a jet stream of whatever liqid is in the bucket. I do this to clean items.

I was reading the pumps user manual and it says designed for water 77 F max. It says do not pump other fluids, especially cleaning fluids with the pump.
I was wondering if they say that cus it is a saftey hazard, or if they say that because cleaning fluid will cause extra wear and tear on the pump? I dont care about wear and tear or if it shortens the pumps life, but I do care obviously if it is a fire hazard. Now obviously I would not put gasoline or something like that in the bucket, the only things I use is dawn dish soap, vinigar, and another cleaning chemical called "spray-9". I always dilute with water so it is never 100% concentrated. I do use hot water, I would estimate 110 F. So is it safe to use these chemicals with this pump? Or do they say that just just to prolong the life of the pump?
