I am thinking about installing a race deck floor in my two car garage. I live in north georgia. My concern is will I have to worry about mold growing under the tiles? I want to use the solid floor tiles rather that the open ones. Will moisture leak under the tiles and become a problem? I love the look of the floor, but don't want to be growing a toxic farm under my feet.

In regards to moisture coming from your slab or your slab holding moisture...
Some of the posters have been using our densifier to help slow/prevent water transmission through the slab. This particular product creates a gel within the cavities of the substrate surface (molecular level stuff). This process retards water transmission in either direction. Once applied it can't be rubbed off, it's sub-surface.

Bloder, I have the same question as you. I'm not concerned about moisture coming up from the slab, but about water dripping from the car as I typically dry my car in the garage after it is washed in driveway. My garage floor is sloped and I do have a floor drain, but water does remain on the floor sfter the car is dried or comes in after being in the rain.

Had mine down for a little over a year. No problems whatsoever. OK just endured our worst winter yet and my Racedeck came thru with flying colors. Had to pull part of mine up when my oil pressure gauge line busted and dumped 3 quarts of oil down on the floor. Some of it weeped thru the cracks. Concrete was nice and clean underneath except for the oil stain.

Racedeck tiles have some anti-fungal properties, Jorgen seems to be on vacation or something, but he has said many times that fungus and mold is not a issue with Racedeck.

Moisture and mold is the the reason RaceDeck was created and what the understructure is all about.
