I always get the best advice from this group, so first off let me say thank you to all members.

I just added a paver patio to the back of my house. Under the pavers I had the installer run 2" gray conduit from my gas meter to two locations on the patio: a grill and fire pit. Now I'm needing to pick what gas lines to run through the conduit. The grill is 50' from the meter and the 65,000 BTU fire pit is 75' from the meter.

My research leads me to believe I need a 3/4" IPS line to the pit and a 3/8" line to the grill (grill accepts 3/8" line). Is that right? Am I missing anything?

I'll be hiring a licensed bonded gas specialist to hook up the lines to the meter, but want to have everything else in place when they get here.

Thanks again!

You need to size the gas line by gas pressure, length, and BTU.

The size of the fitting on the appliance means nothing.

Yes.

Prior to permit, I had to do some calculations when considering gas to my outbuilding garage. The worksheet was provided by the gas company.
The premise behind the worksheet calculation is that gas delivery is sufficient for the new appliances without robbing the existing ones. I wouldn't sweat the grill but would want to confirm the firepit load.

Did the same. Google gas line sizing. There’ll be an example system laid out so you can clearly understand. The basic rules for the sizes of all the pipe segments are simple. All taken from the Gas Code.
Not sure if you’re allowed to run gas line inside PVC, though.
I’d recommend the correct burial tape. Buy it if the installer doesn’t have it. So, when digging, they find the tape ( metallic and traceable ) before they dig into the line. Good luck.
