question about sealer/prep for Epoxy-Coat

I just got my concrete down today for my workshop (I have been waiting 10 years to say that).

The concrete is finished very smooth - I am very pleased with it. The guy who did it recommended that I apply a 30% concrete sealer in the next day or two. I think this would give you the high-gloss bare concrete finish (like in my local Home Depot) -
But - I am going to apply Epoxy-Coat (after 30 days) - should I put a sealer on first?

It is probably going to rain here Monday and Tuesday, so I need to get it on soon - and Epoxy-Coat is closed on the weekend.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks to Irondrive and SharkeyTM

It rained today so I didn't do anything - I will just have to wait 30 dyas to put down Epoxy-Coat.

I waited about 3 months for my coating over a 5 bag mix fibre crete floor. I let it dry and season completely. Seems you are sealing too soon. I think I would contact the sealer company about this.

Yep - I was able to talk to the folks at Epoxy-Coat today -
no sealer should go on the floor - otherwise I would be grinding it off before I applied the coating. :-:)(

Luckily it rained Sunday, so I didn't get a chance to mess it up. :)

Sorry I couldn't get back with you over the weekend. For future reference mu cell number is on our website for after hours support. Definately do not apply the sealer, it will just have to be ground off. Let me know if you need anything else on this.

No problem - I had some SNAFUs and didn't get through finishing my concrete until 7:00 Friday night - I called the number and got the answering service because I didn't notice that the hours were M - F only.
I don't like bugging people on their time off - I will be calling you when I get ready to put the coating down in three or four weeks.
