Question about SK 3/8 impact sockets

I bought the 3/8" impact superset recently from SK day.

Except I found one socket I will have a use for is 13/16", which is just bigger than what I got in the set. I see from the SK's catalog that they only offer up to 3/4" impact socket in standard and deep for 3/8 drive. But SK apparently makes semi-deep 3/8 drive impact sockets that go up to 7/8". So if I want the 13/16 I need to pick up the semi deep instead? Can anyone confirm this? Just seems a little weird that they would offer up to 7/8" in semi deep but only 3/4" in standard and deep.

I guess it's a battle of the OCD whether to have one semi-deep socket in my set of standard and deeps as opposed to having one socket from another brand in the set :p.

All though it sounds very strange to me, a quick look at my 2015 SK Catalog shows you are correct. SK offers sizes 13/16 and 7/8 (part#45276 & 45278) in semi-deep impact but, not in standard deep impact:wtf:

SK's range of 3/8 drive deep impact sockets is somewhat limited stopping at 3/4 for SAE and 19mm compared to other brands like PROTO.

I probably use my semi deep sockets more than any other length socket on my cart. However, unless your OCD is super high, I would just grab a Proto 13/16 impact socket (part#J7726H).
On a side note, Proto 3/8 deep impact sockets go up to 1 inch in SAE or 24mm.

Different brands are funny about this kind of stuff. For example, Sunex offers standard and deep 5/16" - 1" and 7mm-22mm in 3/8" drive. However, they only offer 10mm-22mm in universal sockets whereas SK makes an 8mm and 9mm. I don't know if it's a lack of tooling or lack of demand that keeps some brands from producing the same sizes as another, but it's weird for sure.
