Can a Snap-on dealer sell any non-Snap-on brand of tool off of his truck?

If he is a full franchised dealer and not a gateway franchise or a company store.

I will sell anything that I can make a profit on. I sold a margarita machine to a good customer one time.

Thanks Chad. Just clearing up a little confusion on another forum about a S/O guy with some harbor freight items.

What's a gateway franchise?

That is a program that Snap-on has for people to get into the business with a smaller initial investment. Basically, your inventory is on consignment from Snap-on and there are certain sales requirements that have to be met while you are on that program.

We mainly sell tools provided by snap on. If one of our tools hurts someone and they decide to sue us, snap on takes care of it. If an item that we sell that is not from snap on, we take the lawsuit. And that usually gets rid of the dealer.

yeah rwd helps us compete with the other brands
knipex and streamlight tools are cheaper than matco, and thats all that matters around here.

Thanks for all the info. Yeah I know of RWD and I've bought a lot of good quality non-S/O tools from my S/O guy, but I was wondering about cheap stuff. It's a long story. But thanks!
