I started using Tap Magic a while ago and have no complaints. However, I noticed something yesterday that's go me wondering. I needed to tap a couple things last night. When I opened my two and die sets, I found my very common used taps rusting compared to the other ones not. Since these are the only taps I used with Tap Magic, that's where my question lays. A quick soaking in M1 cleaned the taps. Is this something I need to know about Tap Magic, or is this just a coincidence? I don't have any problems with anything eles rusting in the shop.

Never had an issue with Tap Magic causing rust. You said your most commonly used taps? More likely from your skin, i.e. sweat etc. Most bearing mfg. caution against the same thing when handling races...

I thought about that, but I have had these sets a long time and this is the first problem with this. Also when referring to most common, I should have said these are the exact taps I used a couple months ago with Tap Magic. Other sizes I have used often go back to my days of using regular oil for cutting. I have a feeling I'm over thinking this, but then again, there have been things that are common knowledge I somehow missed.
