Recently got a new 3/8 torque wrench that does 5-100 ft/lbs. Is it hard on the wrench if I use it at 95 ft/bls a few times to put wheels on?? [My 1/2 torque wrench is on its way and will be here within a week.]

Oops. Its a SO TECH2FR100 torque wrench.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but using a torque wrench doesn't overly effect the calibration of the spring that just sets the tension. It is the up and down stretching setting the tension that wear them out or leaving them stretched.

Personally I would use a 1/2" drive torque wrench for torquing down stuff any higher than about 80 ft/lbs, but that's just me. No you will not hurt your torque wrench using it at less than it's capacity. Do you have a clicker (micro adjust) or a bean style torque wrench? If you use a clicker (micro adjust) tool just store it at a lower setting (but not the lowest setting) of about 10 to 15 ft/lbs. If it sits unused for a period of time, set it to a low setting and work it a dozen times before using it at the needed setting.
