Question about Track saw storage

I'm going to ask a silly question. I have a Dewalt track saw that I want to retire. I bought a Milwaukee recently, but it's taller than the Dewalt and doesn't fit ok in the Tstak cases. My question is if there is a problem storing the track saw on its side? Is there any risk of losing alignment or anything? I have never stored a track saw that way before, so maybe someone with more experience or knowledge can help me. Thanks!

So long as everything's tight, I wouldn't worry. You could put a nice piece of dense sponge/foam under it, to give it a bit of bounce. It's what I'd do.
