Question about Trane unit electric heater

I posted this in electrical also.
I aquired a Trane UHEC-05 electric heater 5 KW heater. Actual Model number is UHEC-051C0C0 meaning 277 volt single ph. Does anyone know if it can be converted to work at 208/240 or 120, and if so how can this be accomplished? Here is a link to the PDF of info:

After looking at the specs on page 19 of 48 of the catalog, I'd say they didn't intend for it to work on any voltage other than 277v. That being said, its entirely possible the heater will work on 240 volt, if that is what you have (measure it with a volt meter) but it certainly will not produce as much heat. The elements won't come up to full heat. Biggest issue is the blower may or may not work properly.

The only way to properly "convert" it would be to replace the heating elements and the blower motor, which is about the same as throwing it in the scrap heap and buying another one.

That is not much heat, any way you put it.

Thanks that's what I was thinking, but **** it was damn near new, hung in the storeroom that was converted to some classrooms. Came with the thermostat, ceiling bracket w/all thread and truss clamps and cost me $0.
