Where do you order tools online, that has good prompt shipping, good prices, and carry high end tools (Williams, SK, etc.)?

I know a lot of people talk about toolsdelivered.com, but they don't ship to Canada :/

It's really hard to find somewhere with decent shipping to Canada. I use to get stuff delivered to Canada years ago but have stopped, so I can't recommend any good sites.

Are you close enough that you could ever make a trip cross border and pick stuff up?

I'm in Mississauga but my passport is expired.

Amazon says "Usually ships in one to two months" on the items I want. I do use amazon to buy quite a few tools though! I bought the Williams Screwdrivers, a few Williams Socket sets, Assorted Knives, Hanson Socket Racks... a whole bunch of books... Amazon is Awesome. Its just that I don't want to wait for them.

Another Question for Canadians... Or atleast Canadians in the GTA... any good leads on tool stores in the GTA?

^^^ Or really good Pawn Shops. I recently got a full 1/4" Snap-On Socket set metric shallow, and standard shallow and deep, with four extensions, for under 200!

Canada/US prefered, but to me a quality tool is a quality tool. I've never been "afraid" to spend money on the tools I use most, but some tools that I don't use very often I don't care so long as it's not going to break easily.

Right away I want a new Metric Shallow/Deep set because I'm unhappy with mine and missing sizes. I have a bunch of Williams in 3/8, and Snap-On for 1/4 and I'm extremly happy with them. I'm thinking either Williams or SK for my 1/2 Inch shallow and deep. (1/2 inch I also use the most, so I might go Snap-On or Proto, but I'd rather do a bunch of shopping around before I buy them).

I also need a bunch of Diesel specific tools such as a digi-tach, big snap-ring plyers, etc.

I more just want to get leads on really good online suppliers with good quality tools that ship to canada to then buy what I need.

Go to a Napa and ask for the G2S flyer there's lots of good tools in there. They can get them that day or the next. Williams,SK, gearwench, and lots of others.

I know a few independant dealers who sell tools out of the g2s equipment and nortool catalogues. SK, gearwrench, ATD, Lisle, OTC, etc. Quality tools and no shipping costs!

Ship address to warehouse, usually $5 a parcell pickup:
- 10 minutes from Sarnia, crossing into USA
- usually get free shipping, within States
- only pay HST, coming home at Canadian border
- zero duty / zero broker fees / avoid expensive shipping charges, into Canada

Do all napa's have access to this G2S catalogue? this would make it much easier to track down some tools i'm looking for, esp SK.

I get everything shipped to Niagara Falls and run across the border weekly. I pay for a storage box. It saves me a lot.

I use shipito warehouse so I can buy from USA and take advantage of free shiping within USA. From there I decide what carrier I use to deliver to my home. I only use this method for tools or products that are really expensive or not available in Canada otherwise it is not worth the trouble. There are other USA warehouses/addresses like Bongo and others, but Shipito was my choice. All in all there the savings are not as large as the initial price, quoted because you still have to pay transport, taxes and duty.

I live 3 hours from the NWT border where it is hard to get high quality tools. Easiest to get local tools would be from Grainger Proto. Cheaper easier lines include westward, jet, pro core, mastercraft.
I Rarly see a Mac and Snap On truck...but they do rarely drop into our local automotive Dealerships.
Usually if i want a higher end tool like mac or snap on i will just order it from their online website but it takes 1-3 weeks delivery. Amazon and Ebay are also good sites i have used. All tools are attainable but the annoying thing is having to pay the shipping :(. I imagine returning broken tools would be a pain too, unless your company replaces lost/broken/stolen tools.

Took a trip to Variety Tools at Sheridan Mall today and bought a IR 1207 air ratchet, and ordered up a bunch of SK 1/2 inch socket sets. They were incredibly busy and the store in unbelievably unorganized... but they give great discounts on everything in the g2k catalog, and there really nice to deal with.

I also wanted to freshen up my 1/2 inch impacts, but I'm still on the fence about going the sunex route, or biting the bullet and buying SK, US Williams, or maybe Snap-On.

My Snap on and Mac guys both sell the G2S line and keep the catalogues on their trucks. You pay the catalogue price there is no additional charge for shipping
