I am to the point in water to the garage that I have to replace this tee with a 1 x 1 x 1 tee. As you can see it is partially buried in the brick.

Any suggestions on how to do this with minimal disassembly of the wall?

This is roughly what I need to add for my water to the garage project.

I would cut the line inside the wall after opening the wall on the inside, add new lines to the outside, put a coupling in the wall to join back to the existing system and patch the interior wall (assuming the interior wall is drywall).

No crawlspace, slab on grade.

after a little exporitory surgury on the wall the situation is the pipe is boxed in by 2x4's on 3 sides and block on the other. I guess they framed it after the pipe was installed.

Here's rough sketch:

Use a Sawzall and cut a section from either the left or right stud, fix the plumbing and scab a section of stud back that goes from the bottom plate to about 12" above the cut.
