I have an older Craftsman Radial Arm Saw and Table Saw for sale on Craigslist and one of the few responses I have had wants to trade me this set of Snap On wrenches for them. My problem is that I can't tell if they are fakes or real. I have asked the guy for the model number and he has yet to respond but it was late last night. I am hoping someone may be able to tell from the logo stamping on them if they are real or fake. Thanks for the help..... Terry

I'd go ahead and do it. I may sound cocky but I've never actually heard of fake snap on wrenches...

The guy was probably given them by a relative and needs your stuff more. Either that or he got them at a price point that he can afford to trade them

Good luck!

Look like older Snap-On metric wrenches. Probably from the '70s-'80s. I have never seen fake snappy wrenches.

A full set of metric wrenches goes for around $200 new IIRC. More if they are the Plus models, with the grooves in the open ends.

I'd probably do the trade. It sounds pretty fair. The market for radial arm saws is pretty slim. (better for table saws).

Those wrenches are metric and gook to be in good shape. I don't see any engraving.

Thanks for the quick replies. I wasn't asking much for the saws. They were my Grandfathers, but after he died some other relatives abused them and since I already have each type that are in better condition I am willing to let them go for the room in the shop. I am not well versed in Snap On tools, have a few odds and ends but not much. I wasn't sure if there are any clones out there as everything else seems to have copycats these days...

Just a FYI, depending on the RAS, sears will cut you a ~$100 check for sending in a major part of it, due to liability reasons. Depending on the saws you have and the completeness of the wrench set, do think I would do the trade, but YMMV.

Those are the real deal. They are the original combination wrenches. Later additions were revision A and revision B. The current wrenches out right now are revision B.

A RADIO ALARM SAW!?!?! If you're not using it, do the trade man! At least out here, you can't give those RASs away.

Although...when I get my farm/ranch next year, I want a 16"+ RAS...

Held it up to another one...main issue was the chrome was different and the end was smaller that attaches to the ratchet. What was scary is it had a date code but the stamping was too deep. When I knocked I against my other extensions it made a different sound very poor quality
