I wanted to add some wheels to my table saw. is it best to add two locking swivel casters to the front and two non swivel in the back? locking swivel all around? swivel all around but only locks in front?

what has worked best for you? I have seen many variations.

Depends on the type of base you are going to use.
On my big table saw I have 2 fixed wheels on the back. I put a floor jack under the front and then wheel at around as I need.
On my smaller cabinet saw it has 4 swivels but the wheels retract so it sits on the base when used

On my Yates combo cabinet saw, I put 2 wheels perpendicular to the saw blade on 1 side of the cabinet, and an adjustable foot on the other. Rock solid, and to move it I grab the table extensions on the foot side, lift, and move it around like a wheel barrel.

Best thing is to build/buy a proper mobile base. What differentiates a mobile base from casters is you "disengage" the mobile base, which sets the machine down on at least two if not more fixed feet. This vastly reduces the possibility of the machine moving on you when in use, which could be a very bad thing when a table saw is involved. :willy_nil
