Im running a 3/8 on-board air system on my off-road jeep. Without getting into details, Im running 3/8 hose, barbs etc etc and into the tank. Now what Im wondering if my air tools are 1/4" nippled and my air chucks are 1/4" nippled. Should I convert my tools and air chuck to 3/8? Or will the CFM still be there and get into the gun thru the 1/4 fittings?

Sorry if I confused you haha :lol_hitti, here are the cliffs.

Im running 3/8 all thru-out the air system, except at the QD coupling. Will the CFM still be the same or is that 1/4 coupling hurting me THAT bad? I dont want to change out my fittings just for the jeep. But I can if its going to kill the CFMs.

If all you are using the on board air for tires and generally blowing stuff off, all u need is 1/4" throughout hose and everything. If you are using an impact for lugs stay with the 3/8"
