Question on band saw hight

I am in the process of restoring a 1940s delta 14 inch wood band saw. The stand has had one of its legs broken. So I will be making a new stand. I haven’t figured out what it will look like yet.
the first question I am thinking of is how tall to make the deck hight. Most I see are rather tall … elbow hight or slightly shorter.
I am thinking to make it the same hight as my table saw and two rolling carts I use as I feed and out feed for said table saw. Which would put it at 35 inches. I was also thinking about making it 1/2 to3/4 inch higher so I could make jigs … think circle cutter.
my question is that too low? Or some other reason I’m not thinking of.
thanks for any input.

I certainly wouldn't want a band saw table that low. You are often doing intricate cuts trying to follow a line and that height would make it very uncomfortable and difficult to do that. It's not like a table saw where you are just pushing wood through. You would be hunching over to see what you are doing all the time.

I would suggest making the table height relative to your arm and visual comfort. If you need to push into a cut having the table to low or high is not as easy to apply muscle for some pieces. The Jet 14" from the factory is 43" some odd. I have it on rollers which places it in the range of about 45". I'm 5'7" so I find that a reasonable work height to view the whole cut process. For taller guys adjust as necessary.

One buddy has the same bandsaw and he's 6'3", he complains that he's to far above the cut to gauge a straight line based on the outfeed. He has to squat down to make cuts to view it sufficiently and for a guy with a variety of back issues, it is not comfortable.

My BS is much higher than my TS, by maybe a foot, will measure once it gets cooler, and add it here.
