Question on ceiling insulation

Hello all. I have a 12x24 on crawspacd shed here in north Alabama and recently I have decided to finish it due to cold temps lately. I framed it 2x4s 16” centers with 2x4 trusses. I recently came across some almost free r19 batts. I went ahead and picked it up. I have plenty to do the walls and ceilings but have a question on the ceiling. My plan is to add 2” furring strips so that I can take full advantage of the r19. It does not have an attic and if I want insults between the rafters my understanding is I need to have an air channel for moisture. I want to make sure that is the case. The shed has a 20’ ridge vent with soffit on one side and open for an over hang on the other. If baffles are required I think I would try to make them out of the styrofoam sheets. Your feedback is very welcome.

I will add pics if needed

Are you going to heat/cool the main area? If not, it's not necessary, but I'd want to be sure there is adequate ventilation (soffit and ridge) to keep moisture to a minimum.

Yes, you need to allow for airflow between the roof sheeting and the insulation. I'd recommend doing it even if you don't have plans to heat/cool - never know what you'll want to do in the future.

You can buy pre-formed baffles that you staple to the sheeting and they're pretty cheap. I wouldn't bother trying to make your own.

I bought them at my local hardware store for something like $1.19 each. But I'm guessing you don't live in Canada.
