So I'm looking at building a 3/8 hose for 1/4'' air tools. I want to use the Melton V style fittings. What I'm wondering is should I run 3/8 at the air compressor or just run their 1/4" V style fittings on the tank, and both ends of the lines tools etc

If all your lines are 3/8" and all your fittings, then just make a small adapter with the 1/4" to fit into your existing 3/8" lines. Then everything works.
