Question with my Eagle lift

Garage I just purchased has this Eagle 9k 2 post lift. I ran the lift up, set it down on the safeties, made sure everything seemed OK. But when I disengaged the safeties and let it down the arms did not go all the way to the floor. As you can see it's 1-2" up.

Is this normal or is it indicating a need for some adjustment/lube?

Thanks!

Both arms or just one? Put some weight on the arm(s) and see if they will bottom. If so, the hydraulics need bleeding. Either way, I'd do a couple bleeding procedures and see if that helps.

Both arms are even. I stood on each arm (I'm about 210lbs) and it did not lower.

How do you bleed the hydraulics? I don't think that I saw that procedure in the installation/user manual, but I will double check.

Sounds like the cables are to tight ?? One cable to tight will hold the opposite side up..

If it is a chain over pulley lifting design it should have a breather vent in the cylinder so air may not be the issue.

I know it sounds silly but be sure there isn't a nut or something on the base on the other side keeping it in the air. The cables will keep the opposite side up as mentioned above.

Good Luck !!

Thanks, will take a look at all this stuff tomorrow hopefully, though I don't have tools at the garage just yet (still in the cleanup stage). The arms I think were all the way to the ground before I lifted to test it, so I'm pretty sure no nuts or bolts bounced into the way, but will make sure to double check everything.

Also just gonna make sure it's lubricated.

Keep em coming!

Well, got it figured out here. Apparently that's as far down as it goes, this is where the carriage hits the column base. Oh well.

I'm guessing this is correct... I planned on getting a level over there today to check the column vs the floor, but didn't get as much time as I planned, but I am thinking so.

That's as low as they go bud. You don't want the arms sitting directly on the floor. How would you swing them in under the vehicle if they are scrapping the concrete?
