Hi,

Recently I've been using my camera quite a bit.. And stumbled upon this LocLine. I found people use this stuff for everything from the camera mounts, flashlight mounts, phone holders, etc..

So, I plan on buying enough to finally convert my bandsaw to coolant, make a few mounts for the GoPro2, make one for my stinger, e2dl and lx2 lights, an electronic 3rd hand, and a phone holder for my truck. It's one of those things hat has my mind running with what I can make with it. I just don't know what size I should use.. I haven't found a picture that shows the different sizes with something I can an compare it too..

Anyone have any experience with this stuff before I go crazy and buy 100 bucks of this stuff?

lol, I just went crazy and bought $100 worth of it myself.

There's 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4". 3/4" seems to be overkill for most of your needs. 1/4" should suffice, but might be a little light with your phone and flashlights. 1/2" should be best. If you need greater strength, 3/4" will do the job but will be bulky.

I use it all of the time. Get the pliers that are made to go with it. It's very useful for coolant and for blowing chips away. I get it from McMaster.

The 1/4" ID (.260") has an OD of.650". I would imagine that this is the size that you want.

Stuey,
Do you happen to have the od for the 1/2 or 3/4? Or pictures?

I really appreciate that! That's exactly what I was looking for! I can't seem to find the mounts on Mcmaster.. Do they sell individual mounts to allow you to attach it to a plate, or do you drill/tap a cap?

You should probably look through the catalog to determine what you want.

I ordered via Enco and Amazon. The non-hose components in the photo came with the 3/4" as part of a magnetic-base shield kit. The mag base is available separately and so are the mounts for 1/2" and I believe 3/4". I don't think there are magnetic mounts or any screw-mountable mounts for 1/4" hose.

I don't think McMaster carries the entire product line. They will get you stuff not shown on their website though.
