Questions about Matco Reality scope

Just got a haul of tools and one of the things in the mix is a Matco Reality automotive scope. The only thing I get from it when I hit the power button is a screen full of streaks and then it shuts off.

My questions is - what is the warranty on this type stuff? Can I turn it in and get it repaired or a replacement? I know the policy on hand tools and such but not sure on the electrical stuff. I really would like to get this working for a decent price since it would really make the whole tool purchase worthwhile.

Any advice on this or anybody that can help me out?

Thanks,
Al

Would you happen to know if they offer repairs for those items or if they are just disposable after the warranty? If the latter I may just have to see if there is a blown surface mount fuse then. I'm sure this is way past the 12 month time frame.

What he said.

Its was made by SPX/OTC...you might be able to contact them direct and see how much and if they could repair it for you.

Ah well thanks for the help gents. I popped the case and no luck on the fuse so it is probably just dead. I'll try and call them tomorrow but I don't have high hopes for any help from OTC.

Would have been nice to have but not a deal breaker. I got enough auto tools from the buy I'm still happy but this would have certainly been a good addition to the garage.

Bill, too bad you didn't make it to Vegas. It was a great event.

We have been to the Nashville, Orlando and Cancun expos.......since we go to Vegas a couple times a year for the NHRA drags, SEMA and such, we passed on this trip.

We are seriously thinking about going back to Cancun this next year, we will see. :bounce:
