Hey guys, I'm restoring a 1980s Mac Tools MB 510 upper tool chest and I had a few questions. I've restored this box before but it was my first time doing it and I did a pretty poor job.
First, what kind of primer should I use? I have some pitting that I am going to fill in with Bondo and sand down but I wasn't sure if I should use self-etching primer or not.
Second of all, what kind of paint should I use? I used regular spray paint before and it was terrible. It chipped and globbed and looked awful. I don't have access to an air gun so that's pretty much out of the question. It's going to be painted black to match my Craftsman lower.
Finally, what's the best way to straight out some of the dents and dings and in the steel? Should I use a hammer and dolly or body and fender kit?
Thanks for all of your help!
