So I changed up my design a bit and kinda went between the 6-8 that I started out with and the 18, that Platonic Solid, you suggested. I think I will be completely happy with it! Can't wait to get the ceiling painted(if it ever warms up!) and get them installed! All my trim work is done, it just needs paint.

Looks good to me. You've invested quite a bit of time on this.

Yeah, it's kind of a passion not to mention my daily job except for the lighting, and I'm fanatical about details and seeing it rendered. Dialux does a really nice job of it too! I really like the values spotted across the floor to see actual fc in a given grid pattern. I may go back and put the ceiling grid trim in Dialux just for grins, to see the actual finished ceiling with the lights.

So have you installed the lights yet? I'd love to see how it looks.

Oh trust me! So would I! It’s been so cold and a last minute 8” snow, it’s been too cold and wet to get much done. I have all my drywall and trim done and primed, I just need to get paint on and my garage door tracks painted. Then the lights can go up. I’m trying! [emoji16]

I see, I don't really have that problem down here in central Florida lol. It will be hot soon enough, its supposed to hit 90 soon. I just finished a 30x35 and trying to figure out what/how many lights to put up. I'm trying to do it cost effectively and some of these set ups just seem overboard.

I guess it just depends on how much light you want. I wanted plenty to really use my garage. This was kinda between my original design and Platonic Solids suggestion. I can’t wait to get it all installed. Trying to be done by summer so I can use it!!

So I’ve made quite a bit of progress lately. Painting is almost done and today spotting all the mounting locations of fixtures. Hopefully the pics aren’t too big from my phone.
