Anyone have experience using the plans from icreatables.com?

Couple of questions:

1. I'm going to need to supply plans for a shed larger than 120 sq.ft. What were your experiences with building from these plans? Were they adiquate to obtain your local building department plan checks to pull a permit?

2. I would like to build a 12x16 shed with an overhead garage door. Being in a hot climate what are some insulation/cooling tips? I would like to get the best bang for the buck. At what point would I lose on diminishing returns?

3. I have a dedicated 110 circuit that will be run underground to supply power to the shed. Planning on using it for a couple of LED style fluorescent fixtures, some outlets for charging power tool batteries and powering the air compressor & garage door. I would also like to use this circuit to power string lights on the opposite side of the yard under the covered pergola. Are there any other suggestions for power? I'm thinking that this will be sufficient for my needs.

My wife and I are also thinking about running power for backyard landscape lighting. This circuit would be perfect. Looking at energy efficient LED to reduce the load & cut cost of powering these. The front yard will also have lighting on a timer and separate circuit. I'm thinking the backyard will be on a remote switch as I don't see a need to illuminate it unless we are actively using the backyard or entertaining people.

I'd run a 20 amp circuit using #12 copper wire, white, black and a ground in green. If I remember OHM's law correctly, that figures out to 2400 watts total.
