I see they are on sale again now for $349

I did some quick measurements at the store and figured that thing is about 42in long and ~39in high. This means it will fit were i want to put it in my garage.

I also have a $100 gift card that i need to spend.....so the deal is lookin extremely tempting right now. I also have a truck so hauling it shouldnt be an issue.

I dont really need it (yet). I have a Craftman 2 piece 26 incher that is serving me well, a TORIN 26in top unit on the bench and 1 old 1960s Kennedy. I also have tons of tool drawers i have fashioned out of old cash drawers i found in dumpster years ago.....Most of which are all full or at least 3/4 ful.

Anyway.....If i do pull the trigger....

Here are my questions:

1. will they help you load it at the store? I have read it is ~250lbs and there is no way id be able to lift that alone. Once i got it home it probably wouldnt be an issue with some ramps.

2. does it come fully assembled with the wheels on it and everything? IF yes, i can see myself unloading with wood planks over my patio.

3. What is the size with it in the crate? I want to make sure it will fit through my garage side door. The big door does not open right now. Just my luck, i get it, get it home and then not be able to get it through the side door :)

I guess that is really it. We are under a breif spell of warmer weather right now and the snow has melted away. Now would be the time to do it..........or wait until spring.....which isnt a bad idea either. I notice these regularly go on sale at the $349 price. Waiting isnt an issue.

Yes, they helped me load it onto a trailer but I pulled it off at my house by myself. It is fully assembled but is straddling a pallet so the wheels don't touch the ground until you cut it off the pallet. If my memory serves correctly the package was maybe 6" wider than the box? You could always cut it out of the package and then unload it... Hope this helps!

#1: YES

#2: YES, Except for the side handles if I remember correctly

#3: A bit bigger than the actual box itself because is on a small pallet and there is foam blocking in the box.

They loaded mine into the back of the truck with a forklift. I unloaded it by sliding it down some ramps. And yes fully assembled except for the handle on the side.

My HF almost didn't even sell me my first 44" because it was after 6:00 pm and their forklift operator was gone for the day! They told me to come back earlier in the day the next day. I was finally able to convince them that my son and I would be able to load it ourselves, since we were going to have to unload ourselves anyway, and they eventually agreed to sell. They still gave us a hand loading, all while the cashier was stating that she hoped her manager didn't find out!

fork operator.......?

It would be just my luck they would drive both forks through the side of my truck while attempting to place it in the bed :)

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have some thinking to do now. It sure would look nice in that spot :)

Haha! I felt the same way when they loaded my second box a few months later!

They loaded it for me and I was able to unload it from my Suburban by myself (I'm 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, in my 20s, and not abnormally strong for my size or anything). I just pulled it out and set one side on the ground, then picked up the other end in the trunk still and walked it out with the other end still on the ground. Wasn't too hard, and would be easy enough with a friend.

They did hit my B.I.L. truck with the fork lift, I didn't see it, and the operator didn't say any thing, My B.I.L. pointed it out to me, but wouldn't let me say any thing to them about it, being his truck was a pos any way. I cut mine out of the box and tipped the box out onto my garage floor. Only had to put the handle on.

happened to me too, only they flat out said i can't buy it because the forklift operator was gone. had to come back the next day.

edit - i'd pull the trigger @ $349. call them first & see if they have any in stock. when i bought mine, they said they get ~3/week and are sold within a few days.

Word of advice - remove all the packing and inspect EVERYTHING before you leave.. u wouldn't be the first person to get home and find out the box is dented..

Yes it comes with the wheels on it.
Yes they help load it.

I loaded mine on its back with the wheels to the tailgate. Used the packing cardboard as a pad to prevent scratching it.
When I got home I backed into the driveway with the rear wheels in the gutter so the tail gate was as low as I could get it.
Slid it out of the truck and tipped it to the ground and onto its wheels.
Did it alone with no trouble. Remember you are not lifting it you are just manipulating the weight and tipping it over the edge.

Go for it, great box for the money

They loaded it into my Jeep Cherokee. I unloaded it myself by sliding it out. Has wheels on it, unboxed it and rolled it into place. :D

They put in my pickup with a forklift. I uncrated it in the truck and removed all the drawers. It was a lot lighter and more managable. I had an easier time as my truck was backed up to the garage and I just had to ease it off and roll it into place, put the drawers back in and install the handles.

When I bought mine, the "forklift operator" ran over a small pot hole and the box fell off the lift. They loaded a different one up for me. I recommend tightening the bolts holding on the wheels. Half were loose. I when I unloaded the box is laid it on its back to tighten the casters then slid it out

Mine has a small dent on the frame bar just below the top drawers. The packing was undamaged so I assume it happened at the factory. Unpacking at HF sounds like an ordeal but I guess that is the only way to gaurantee a clean box. The dent is small so I'll live with it. Getting it home was bad enough. Otherwise, I love the box.

I'm considering picking one of these up for work. I work on garbage trucks all night (3rd shift) and need more space than my 14 drawer 26" Craftsman allows.

They loaded mine into the back of my truck with one of those hydraulic lift table carts - tipped the box onto the cart on end, then lifted it up and tipped it down into the truck. So maybe that's an option if you run into an issue with no forklift driver on hand.

Picked up one last night and we just slid it into the bed of my truck. Leaned it up to the tailgate and pivoted it up and layed it on its side. It was good to go! No damage anywhere either.

There's a video on YouTube where a guy unboxes a 56". When I was looking at hf boxes the manager said they would unbox it and help me roll it up on a trailer.
