Quick change caster plates? anyone use them?

with casters being sooo expensive i thought a quick change plate might be a good idea if i ever go to sell a table with 2 to 3 hundred dollars worth of casters on it. maybe change them out for ones that are not so fancy. has anyone used these quick change plates?
