what quick couplers, other than Snap On, fit the PH 3050? I have an IR air hammer and the quick coupler on it will not fit the SO.

TIA.

I thought they were all the same threads, but I know for a fact the Cornwell and Harbor Freight quick connects fit on my PH3050A.

PH3050A sounds like Fram oil filter for SBC. I have 2 IR Quick Release adapters, tried on my hammer and it slides over the threads so I must have the wrong ones, there are 2 sizes I think, I need the smaller thread size.

Measuring the OD of the threads, the IR 114GQC has ~1.17" OD threads vs ~1.20" for the SO. The thread pitch is also different between the two.

Maybe there are three sizes for these???

I had the same question awhile back because mine is a PH 3050A that came with the beehive spring--as far as I know SO started providing the quick change coupler with the B model and as an option (read extra $$$ with the A model) . Anyhow the member suggested the IR model #9512 that is on Amazon for less than $20. I never pulled the trigger so don't know if it is the correct one.

Yes, the quick coupler is now standard for the PH 3050. I bought an older model off ebay for a good price and it has the spring. I really don't want to pay $60 for the Snap On part.

I don't think the IR 9512 will work with the PH 3050. That looks like what is on my IR gun and it won't fit. It doesn't have a PN on it, but looks like it. It has internal threads and they're too small... and also the wrong pitch.

Do any of the other couplers listed: HF, Cornwell, have internal threads?? Or do they just slide on and use set screws? The IR design is nice in that it has internal threads and three set screws so it's definitely solid.

I will probably try a HF one and see if it'll work.

they both have the same threads, which is the same as my ingersoll 121

My HF coupler only lasted about 3 months before the POS broke. The Cornwell coupler is very nice and a lot cheaper than Snap-on. I think it only threads on. I don't remember because it's never come loose.

they were including it for many months with the A model quite some time before they changed the part number.

The only one on HF(66621) that I could find lists as 1 3/16"-8TPI that falls between the two measurements that you gave. That's why I didn't buy the IR9512--no dimensions on their website and it is the only quick change coupler shown.

Ajax makes quick couplers for almost every air gun, including big-boy rivet cutters(bridge) and jackhammers. They even make them for the CP-717 that's .500" wide.

I can't find where I wrote the info down, but IIRC, the SO is ~7 TPI and the IR is ~8 TPI.

That link shows two IR couplers and neither list the 114 gun. So that doesn't help narrow it down.

You would THINK the mfgrs of the couplers would actually do some research and list what they fit-that way they might sell some....

I'll have to Email airtools-for-less again ,it was back in July the last time. Having different SO tools over the years I've come to know their tools can't always use other mfg. adaptors etc. IR doesn't show that second coupler #9510 on the website, maybe the member that has an Ajax on his will get back to us with the model #.
